Off to Vienna this weekend, actually Friday morning. All I know about Vienna is they make nice ice-cream cakes and their trees are funny shapes (see above).

The purpose of the visit is to compete, being the serious athlete that I am, in the Vienna Valentine sporting carnivale at: http://www.kraulquappen.at/

By all accounts so far, it looks like its going to be a very well run affair. We are travelling as a group of swimmers, all staying at the same hotel, which also looks rather nice.

Presently I am debating whether or not to take my computer with me on this little weekend away. I just know if I don’t, I’ll almost certainly find myself in a IT-life-or-death situation, where I will be kicking myself for leaving it at home.

But the on the other hand, sometimes I think it is good to have a break. Plus I’ll still have my phone (which I hate since the iPhone sauntered into my life) and GPS, which I can always use to locate an internet cafe should going cold turkey turn out to be too tough.

Dilemma…
