HansaPlast Disney band aid strips. I squealed like someone from the target market of this product when I found them. Am now being very careless with knives and running around holding scissors in the hope of having a reason to apply one. This picture is slightly different to the box I bought - mine also has Ariel from The Little Mermaid. No prizes for guessing which one I’m going to use first!
- Favicons in Wordpress. Thanks to the instructions on this page, I was able to create a favicon (stupid word) for my website. See the ‘R’ up there in your address bar? I also used this online conversion facility to create the right format. Cool, I know.
- Hot people with lots of money. As a general rule, this is what everyone wants to be. Also as a general rule, based on extensive research, these people are usually the unhappiest. When I look around my environment (be it a workplace, nightclub, gym, supermarket etc) the people who look the happiest are the ones who are OK with who they are and content with what they have, even if its not the best. Those of us standing against the wall, worrying what people will think, questioning whether that persons designer t-shirt is real (and suits their figure), or trying to plan the rest of our life; we’re the ones with the worry lines and sleepless nights. Of course there are exceptions to this rule, but do you want to live your life hoping to be (or be with) an exception? It’s only taken me about 15yrs to learn this lesson, but I think I finally get it now. Not to say I’m going to become a monk and totally let myself go, but maybe adjust what I look for in other people slightly.
When to buy a mac? At one stage this weekend I was hovering (mouse-style) over the ‘BUY’ button on a fully configured 20″ iMac (with education discount). But then I started wondering if new models are coming out soon, thus maybe I should wait - something I am not good at doing. According to this very helpful Mac Buyers Guide, I should in fact wait. So I will, and hopefully get my hands whatever incarnation the next iMac takes.
Chris’s Birthday. It was my very handsome friend Chris’s 31st birthday this weekend. We’re still debating over who decided to do the facial hair thing first, but regardless…Happy Birthday!
Ps. Yes, I realise 3 and 4 are possibly contradictory. Small steps.
