I just finished watching a movie for which I had reasonably high expectations; 300.
Perhaps I should not have read up on it first, damn you Internet. Knowing that 80%+ of it was filmed in front of a blue screen (actually, green i think) made it almost impossible to take the, already OTT, acting and ridiculous outfits seriously.
This ‘making of’ clip is kind of interesting though and thankfully I didn’t pay to see it. Thank-you Internet.
What was the story even about? Men in black speedos running around flexing their 6-packs and fighting giant elephants in slow motion? Normally that is a winning combination in my books, but this time, sadly it just didn’t do it for me.
Apparently in ye olde times, men had no body hair, despite very full beards, head hair and (evidently) high testosterone levels. Also judging by the looks of things, fake tan was cheap and plentiful. Hang on, when was this movie set… 1993? In my apartment??
Overall: 3/10 (mostly just for motivation to work harder at gym and a plethora of danceparty outfit ideas)
