I’m really seeing a different side of Amsterdam now that I live a bit further out of the city, and much closer to the water.

I took this photo (avec iPhone) as I was walking home from Central Station last week one night after work. Something about the light and the pattern of the clouds made it look like a movie scene:

Damn it, where is a flowing ball gown and the sheet music to ‘My heart will go on‘ when you need it?

Between my island and CS there is a huge new cruise ship terminal - it’s actually that building with the wave-shaped glass and steel roof in the slideshow a few posts ago.

Because what else does Amsterdam need but more tourists? Brilliant!
