American’s are so wonderfully forward in their social interactions with random strangers. My favourite comment I received over the weekend has to be:

Hi there, I just wanted to congratulate you on your look.

To which I couldn’t decide whether to answer with

Omg, I just want to congratulate you on that sentence!

or simply flick my hair and high-kick-reverse-straddle the nearest chair, with a breathless “Don’t Cha” for effect.

Faced with two equally appealing and appropriate options, naturally I froze with indecision and just giggled like a teenage girl.

But it’s official; I have a look. Finally.
