The Onion is fast becoming my favourite news-outlet. Make sure you read the crawl along the bottom – usually takes me more than one viewing. So funny!

Crack is still whack, but holy mother of pearl; Whitney is doing something on September 1 and I am so freaking excited about it!

This is just some miscellaneous clips from my trip to Denver, Seattle and Vancouver last month.
I think I enjoy making/editing videos more than photos now, so next time I think I’ll put more emphasis on recording video, rather than only making them when the camera has been accidentally left on ‘video’ mode.
Warning: I may have More >

Mockery is really the only appropriate response to the incredibly offensive and factually-oblivious online ad against the “coming storm” that is gay marriage. The original ad (not the spoof above) was produced by an anonymous group (“NOM”…lol…) that is apparently the ‘church of latter day saints’. Quelle surprise.
Between this and the ignorant, outrageous reply of More >

There are already a plethora of online reviews and breathless unboxing videos of the new(ish) low-cost, high gloss, Dell Mini 9 netbook.
So here’s one more!
I ordered my black Mini 9, with 1GB ram and 16gb SSD hard drive, webcam and Ubuntu for just over US$300, thanks to a $50 off sale on Dell.com.

As everyone who knows me will attest, organising travel is not exactly my strongest suit. If it’s possible to book the wrong flight to the wrong city on the wrong dates, I’ll do it – and not have anywhere to stay when I arrive.
Currently I’m working on flights/transfers/hotels/outfits(/dance moves) for an upcoming work trip to More >

Madonna has produced a new documentary about the horrific impact of HIV in Malawi. If you can get past her mock-British accent, it is actually pretty well made. At 1:26:45 it’s a serious commitment, so make yourself comfortable.
I’m actually glad she is using her celebrity to promote a cause like this – somewhat overdue. As More >

This article “7 reasons the 21st century is making you miserable” is hitting way too close to home today. I think I might be, officially, freaking out.

Awesome slideshow I just came across via Biotechniques. Click on the button with the four arrows for full-screen glory.
The three winning images from the GE Healthcare Life Sciences’ 2008 IN CELL Image Competition were displayed on the high-definition screen located in New York’s Times Square earlier this month.
Yay for science!

There is talk of new iPhone hardware possibly coming out this summer, in addition to the 3.0 update of the operating system (which looks pants-wettingly-good!).
However having just bought the 3G – and paying through the nose for it (eg. US$500 ’security deposit’) I am not overly desperate to upgrade to something that is only a More >

OMG, is that the clock from Melbourne Central taken down and put on a piece of leather?? It’s HUGE!

What I don’t understand is this. I WANT one of these and have been doing huge research. I watched your video and now I’m confused because in your video, you put the watch on your right arm, and the large bezel is pointing at your hand and not your forearm. Therefore the large bezel is on the LEFT side of the watch. I’ve looked at this numerous times and the Digital clock is at the bottom of the watch and the large bezel is indeed on the left (while looking at the watch). But all other sites with still pictures show the large bezel on the right of the watch like regular conventional watches. So in other words, it’s like you have the polar opposite watch. Can you comment?

Sorry, Ben – you were correct. For some strange reason, I put it on my right arm here. But normally I wear it on my left. The main bezel is then on the hand side of the watch. Its not the most easy to wear and convenient timepiece in the world, but would still recommend it.

Hey this is interesting – the watch is a LOT larger than I thought from seeing pics online. As for the shopping experience comment, it made me chuckle in light of my recent post http://whatwatch-jeromepineau.blogspot.com !
Keep up the good work man.
